GIFT & STATIONERY PRODUCT
At the beginning of crafing each gift product line offering, either seasonal or promotion centric, I begin with thorough trend and market research. What is product is right for the audience? What kinds of design will appeal to the mass cross-section of customers?
SOFT GOODS
I was on the creative and product development teams that created Sleepyheads, a pacifier holder gift product for babies that was also a crocheted “stuffed” animal. I came up with the name, branding, ideas for product marketing to be included on the tag (including rhyming tag copy), and designed the packaging gift box. We produced several animals.
TOTES
I was able to get super creative for client pitches and became an expert at dialing it back for actual production, haha! Most journals had one or two embellishments on them. I’ve worked with debossing, embossing, foiling, spot coat, uv gloss, die-cutting, etc. Many journals were paper cover but some collections included, PU material and Leather as well. The most fun cover I’ve ever done was a glow in the dark Bible cover. The second-most was a printed PU cover with a die-cut magnetic flap (also printed) Bible cover.
